The D.P.W. Complex is located at 17 Central Street and you can conveniently reach us by calling 978-827-4120. The Department of Public Works provides a myriad of professional services to the public.  The Department maintains the Town highway, grounds, cemeteries, municipal buildings and engineering divisions.  In addition it supports all other municipal departments with their endeavors.

It is our goal to provide the public with the highest quality service within our resources.  The Department is committed to provide a professional staff that is responsive to the needs of the Town as a whole.  From the occasional downed tree limb, snow removal or natural disasters, staff members are many times the first to respond in the event of emergencies and are on-call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Departmental staff have obtained a wealth of experience and knowledge over many years of service.  Many staff members have commercial drivers licenses, are hazardous waste-site certified, construction supervisors or have many other specialized talents and/or licenses.  Continuous training of staff members in safety, professional education and cross-training in multiple operations strengthen our ability to serve you.
