Construction value is calculated by multiplying the total square footage of the new construction by the base fee. Base fee is $75 for garages and $50 for accessory buildings. All other projects, use $150 as the base fee.

On exceptionally large or complicated multi-family, commercial, or industrial projects, plan review fees may be required.

Work must commence within 6 months of issuance and it must be completed within 2 years of commencement date or permit is null and void. Extensions may be available to homeowners who complete the work themselves.

Please see Table 106 of the State Board of Building Regulations and Standards for all other Certificate of Inspections.

Permits may be withheld until all financial obligations to the Town have been met.

If an open electrical permit exists and electricians are being changed, the old permit must be closed, a new permit application must be submitted, and a new permit fee must be paid.

Permits are good for one year unless extended by the Office of the Wiring Inspector for good cause.

Permits may be withheld until all financial obligations to the Town have been met.
