Open Mike at the Stevens Memorial Library to Feature Guitarist Carl Goddard

Carl Goddard

Hear some great local musicians and poets perform at the Stevens Memorial Library, 20 Memorial Drive, Ashburnham, on Wednesday evening, May 30. Doors open at 6:30 for seating and refreshments. Open mike begins at 7:00, followed by featured performer Carl Goddard at 8:00. Admission is free!

Carl Goddard plays blues the way they should be played: with reverence, heart, and respect for the blues masters of the past. He has opened for the likes of John Hammond, Roy Bookbinder, Paul Geremia, and Ronnie Earl. Though steeped in the blues, he is also a very accomplished contemporary solo guitar instrumentalist in the style of Ed Gerhard, Brooks Williams, and Leo Kottke, with an emphasis on technique and composition.

To sign up for an open mike slot, call the library at 978-827-4115 beginning May 16.
