The Trustees shall meet at least quarterly and in accordance with Open Meeting Law.

The purpose of the Trust shall be to provide for preservation and creation of affordable housing in the Town of Ashburnham for the benefit of low and moderate-income households.

The Trustees are authorized to acquire by gift, purchase, or otherwise, real estate and personal property with the approval of the Board of Selectmen, Town Meeting and/or Town Counsel as directed. All property held by the Trust and the net earnings shall be used exclusively for the preservation and creation of affordable housing.

There shall be a Board of Trustees consisting of not less than five nor more than seven Trustees who shall be appointed by the Board of Selectmen. One of the Trustees shall be the Town Administrator. Trustees must be Ashburnham residents and shall serve for a term of three years except for that two of the initial Trustee appointments shall be for three years, two for two years and one for one year and may be re-appointed at the discretion of the Board of Selectmen.

The Trust shall be of indefinite duration until terminated in accordance with applicable law.
