Community Events & Playground Committee
former name: Parks & Recreation Committee
The Community Events and Playground Committee is tasked with helping to plan and organize community events. These events should be designed to promote community involvement, foster community spirit, and promote business development. The committee is also tasked with overseeing the towns playgrounds and events scheduled at the playgrounds.
COMMITTEE ROLES
- Serve as an Advisory Committee to the Town Administrator
- Establish rules and guidelines for playgrounds
- Offer events at the playgrounds
- Work with other Boards and Commissions on new event planning
- Communicate issues and concerns regarding the playgrounds
- Budget recommendations and allowances for events, and playground repairs and maintenance.
